They took some reindeers on an island that provided them with everything they needed. There were no predators and they had food in plenty. So they multiplied and what had been just a few reindeer became a huge flock. But of course when they became a huge flock they ate all the food and they starved. There were not enough food for everyone. And they all starved. And in the end only a couple of animals survived. All the others died from starvation. And this is of course what is going to happen with mankind too. We are thriving right now, we are multiplying but at one point we will become too numerous and the planet is not going to be able to sustain human life as we know it. And we are going to see mass death, starvation, famine. And that's why there are some so-called survivalists out there. They see the writing on the wall, they know what is coming and they prepare for it. They prepare for the inevitable and they make preparations to increase their own chance of survival when this crisis comes. And if it never comes, it doesn't matter, they have nothing to lose. You can still eat the food you had, you can still use all the equipment you purchased. So it's a win-win situation really. I'm sitting here in our garden and this is how a normal garden will look after one year of negligence or rather after one year left alone. In two years you are going to see more trees growing from the grass behind me and in the end it's going to turn into a forest which is the natural condition of Europe and also our natural habitat, the natural habitat of the Europeans. Last time I was here I talked about role-playing games and in relation to survivalism, how you can use role-playing games to practice, for theoretical training really. And you can go through these scenarios and see what's missing, see what you should have done differently and see what equipment you should have had that you didn't have, see what type of equipment you had that maybe wasn't very useful and so forth. And I think also I promised in another video that I was going to make a role-playing game custom made for survivalism. So I made a supplement for mythic fantasy role-playing game called The Coming that you can use to play out all these survival situations. There are rules for radiation for example that will enable you to see how radiation can affect you and how you can get rid of it or deal with it in real life situations. I used real-world research, so what applies in these rules should apply to the real world. There are rules for firearms, so you can use that. There are all sorts of new rules specially designed for this type of setting. And also you have critical hit tables, you have now a list of floors that you can also use for mythic fantasy role-playing game using the default setting.^[1] So if you are interested in role-playing games or maybe curious, but you're not really interested in fantasy settings, perhaps you might be interested in The Coming, because it's a different type of game. You can play it however you like if you want to play it as a sci-fi game, a survivalist game, a rauha(?) game, a spy game. You can use already existing settings like Twilight 2000 for it.^[2][3]
