As you know, YouTube has its issues. And recently it stopped sending notifications whenever somebody commented on your video, which of course was problematic in relation to the law really, because some people live in countries where they are being persecuted for opinions and such. So if you are not notified that people are commenting on your channel, there is no way for you to be able to remove the comments that will land you in jail, because it's your channel, your responsibility. There also have been some issues with monetization. They are removing monetization from a lot of videos. And this has created, what can I say, a migration from YouTube and also a skepticism for the future of YouTube. I went to Vidme to see if that's a better alternative. And I have been there for some time now. And I wish to share with you my opinions. So is Vidme a good alternative to YouTube? Let's find out.

Vidme vs Youtube

If you're making comedy, if you're making gaming videos, if you're making vlogs, if you're talking about things that are not problematic in relation to the tyrants ruling our world, then YouTube is fine. You don't need an alternative to YouTube. However, if you have a voice of dissent, if you speak out your opinions, and these opinions are so-called politically incorrect, then perhaps you might need an alternative to YouTube.[1] Vidme has a trending page. That would be a page showing the most popular videos, the most viewed videos, the most upvoted videos. And every single time I have made a video with a slightly politically incorrect content, Vidme removes my videos pretty immediately from the trending page. We have similar pages for each category on Vidme, and they do the same there. So if I make a "Brain food" video, that would be a category, that is a little bit politically incorrect, they remove it from the trending page as well as from the "Brain food" trending page. And they have done this consequently. Every single time one of my videos has been a little bit politically incorrect, they remove it. And yes, all my videos have reached the top of that page because I have several thousand subscribers. And because Vidme is still a very small platform where people don't have a lot of subscribers.

Then I made some videos that are not politically incorrect, and they were not removed from the trending page. So according to Vidme, that's fine. However, Vidme has now also started to remove my other videos from the trending page, from the category pages. And even if I make a gaming video about MYFAROG, where I explain how the 3D system works, they remove it immediately from the trending page. So they don't want me on their channel. They don't want my videos to be seen. And to me that's a problem.

So I wish to say to Vidme that you need people like me. If you don't allow our videos to stay on the trending page if they are popular, then you are ruining Vidme. Because we don't need an alternative to YouTube in relation to gaming videos, in relation to brain food, in relation to comedy and so forth. We only need an alternative to YouTube in relation to politically incorrect videos. And when you even start to remove my gaming videos from the trending page, because my other videos are politically incorrect, and because you obviously don't want me to have many followers or subscribers that they are calling on YouTube, then that's a problem to me.

I don't need Vidme. YouTube has fixed notification issues, they are not demonetizing all my videos, and I have more than 100,000 subscribers there. Vidme though, need people like me. When I went to Vidme I brought several thousand of my subscribers on YouTube with me. You are never going to have a bigger platform than you have now, unless you let people like me go to your channel and express our thoughts freely, without you suppressing our videos. And now you're losing me, I'm leaving Vidme, I'm going to try to Rutube or something like that, and I'm going to encourage all my followers to do the same. Stop using Vidme. They are suppressing politically incorrect videos more than YouTube is. Because the videos that you suppress, that you remove from the trending page, because you don't like the politically incorrect content, they are not removed in any way from YouTube.[2] So your policy is worse than YouTube's policy in relation to politically incorrect videos.

The reason why YouTube doesn't let non-subscribers to see my politically incorrect videos is because they want people to subscribe to their channel. It's a commercial thing. It's not about censorship. What you do on the other hand is obviously about censorship. You remove my politically incorrect videos and then eventually you even remove my other videos because you don't even want people to see my channel. What you need to understand is that we don't need Vidme. But Vidme needs people like me. So you're shooting yourself in the foot here. And I'm moving on to another platform. Bye bye.

  2. Most of them are not even being demonetized there.
