Good morning, little hobbits. Why do you think sorcerers wear robes? Let's find out. Sorcerers, druids, wizards and such are usually depicted wearing robes in my Reconquest role playing game. I say that they do because they have to dress up and look like the spirits of nature. Because they want to be able to manipulate them and to make the spirits think that they are one of them. I also hint, though, at the true reason why they wear robes in my role playing game. And that is the fact that they are the midwives of the mind. Real midwives wear white robes. And the purpose of the sorcerer,[1] the Druid, the wizard, is to help people, so called, give birth to themselves. That is, their purpose is to help them reincarnate as themselves. To find back to who they were in previous life. And to become themselves again in this life. And therefore they are the midwives of the mind. And therefore they wear robes. When you hear some mockingly say that sorcery is not manly, it's linked to this. Namely the fact that the, um, sorcerers have to basically wear women's clothing, robes. And that's all there is to it. Surprisingly, the scholars don't understand this. I don't understand why they don't. Because it's described even in classical antiquity as a Maïeutics. In the ancient Greek world. Maïa is the goddess of the midwives. And maïeutics was exactly that, only for the spirit. Or the soul they helped people find back to themselves, to give birth to themselves. And yes, this is linked to reincarnation, because that was the central topic of the European or Eurasian pagan cult. And also of the American pagan cult. Because all these stem from the same roots. The Neanderthals. A link to this is, of course, the burial practices of ancient Europe, where they took possessions that the dead person had deemed valuable to himself with him into the grave, into the burial mound. So that when he returned in a later reincarnation, in later incarnation, he would find those items and using them, he would remember himself and reincarnate more thoroughly, properly, give birth to himself. And the sorcerer, the Druid/Wizard and so forth was the assistant in this. Before you die, you tell the sorcerer some secret passwords.[2] And then when you die and when you return some generations later, the sorcerer has given these passwords to his replacement, and his replacement gave it to his replacement and so forth. And eventually, when you come back, the sorcerer there will still remember your passwords. And therefore, if you can tell him those passwords, he will know that you have come back. And then he will allow you to enter the burial mound and collect the items that you used to own in your previous life. The original color worn by the sorcerers was, of course, white. But this has changed over time and in different places. When you see Christian priests wearing robes, they just copied this custom from the pagan cult and never really understood why they did it. And are not, of course, helping anyone give birth to themselves. They don't even believe in a reincarnation, as you might know. Thank you for watching.
