How can you become a successful black metal musician? Let's find out. When I say that, I assume that you think I'm going to recommend that you practice your instrument, that you try to play it in an original way, that you don't just follow what others do and so forth. But the reality in 2025 is that we have AI music software now, able to make music very easily. And it's pretty good, too. And more now than ever before, it is going to be extremely hard for you to have a successful black metal band. The only thing that is in your favor is that some people like to see people play live, others will refuse to listen to AI music regardless. And that's it, really. In my case, I'm probably going to fade and disappear as well, but not entirely, because I already have an established name. And some people, like I said, are going to refuse to listen to AI music regardless, and others are going to stay faithful to the bands they already like. And some people already like Burzum. But playing music is not just about professional success. It is also about doing something you like. And for that AI is not going to change anything. You can still have fun playing music. The world is truly changing, and not necessarily for the better.[1] But we have to relate to reality, adapt to it, overcome the problems, improvise, and win. And you win in life by doing something you like. In any case, from a commercial perspective, I think it's close to impossible to succeed with music today. Not just black metal, any music.
