OFFROAD TEST Lada Niva vs UAZ 469b

Video info
DescriptionA test to see which car is the best at hillclimbing in wet and muddy conditions, on wet stones.

The test is 100% unbiased. I own both cars, I drive both cars, I love both cars and I want both cars to perform optimally.

One thing was unfair in this test: it was wet when i drove the UAZ, but the next day, when I did the same with the Lada Niva, it was also raining.... so it was even more wet and muddy that day.

UAZ 469b
HP: 75
Gears: 4
Weight: 1540 kg
Tyres: 235/75/15 (Chinese mud tyres)
Year: 1988

VAZ 2121 (Lada Niva)
HP: 79
Gears: 5
Weight: 1210 kg
Tyres: 185/75/16 (Italian mud tyres)
Year: 2010

NB! This test simply shows that one of the cars is better for this particular task. Both cars are excellent offroad cars, and both cars are better for some things than the other.

Comment to the result: The car that did best had the best tyres, and won because of that, but also because it is better for this particular type of terrain than the other.

PS. As you can see the camo pattern on the Lada is better for autumn and (snow-less) winter than the UAZ, but the camo for the UAZ is better for spring and summer. Both are good for all seasons though.
