If you are young today, how on earth are you going to make it? Let's find out. There are so many problems that young people today have that previous generations didn't have. And today I'm going to show you how you can solve a one of these problems. And of course, there's a boomer in the background[1] spending finite resources on destroying plants. And I'm going to talk about the means of transportation because many of you are going to need a car. And as you know, modern cars are incredibly expensive, and they don't even last very long. If you can afford one, you have to replace them every, you know, three to five years anyhow. And, the reason for this is not just planned obsolescence, where they intentionally make things stop working so that you have to buy a new thing. It's also because of high tech. But of course, many of the older low tech cars were not very good either. However, you can identify the low tech cars that are good by looking at the traffic around you. If an old car is common where you live, it means several things
  1. It doesn't cost that much.
  2. If it's still common and it's old, it means that many of them survived, and the quality of that vehicle must have been pretty good.
  3. If it's common, that means parts are easily accessible for you where you live.
Now, to some people, this is Problematic because, for example, if you live in Norway, the authorities there, um, purchased all the old cars and sent them to Africa. Because they didn't want people to drive polluting cars.[2] Because, of course, if you drive it in Africa, it's not polluting, right? And what this means is that old cars in general are not very common at all in Norway. And this means that it's even worse for the young people there. They can't even buy, used cars as easily as others can, because there's almost none left. And when you get a car, for example, here in France, you can get a [inaudible] for maybe 2,000 euros. If you live in Italy, you can probably get a Fiat Panda very cheaply. If you live in Sweden, probably a Volvo 240. And if you live in Russia, you can probably get an old LADA in a 2100 series, not too expensively. But of course, the problem here in "the west, we are so advanced" that our car technicians are not educated to fix these old cars. In fact, they're not educated to fix cars at all. They're educated to replace parts. They don't fix cars anymore. They just replace parts. They don't repair anything. But if you have a very low tech car, like from the 80s, you can fix it yourself. Sorry, the mailman has just arrived. And yes, I call her a mailman because some man means human being and women are human beings too. I'll be back in a minute.[3] But if you have a brain, "very intelligent blue eyes", you can watch YouTube videos where people show you how to fix the problem you have. If you don't know what the problem is, you can ask AI. And today I'm going to show you how I fixed a problem on my car. Now, before anything, this is not a common car in the the west, so don't use this as an example for which vehicle to buy if you live in France. But it is low tech. And my problem is that the starter relay is degrading over time.[4] The local car technician had no idea why, but I asked AI and AI could tell me the problem. The problem is either that the regulator in the alternator is not working properly and it gives too much electricity to the relay. And of course, when it does, it fries the relay or degrades it over time. The wires, you know, fry. I can't do this with one hand, so I need help... and film at the same time.[5] So I need help from my son Baldur. And as you can tell, this is just over 12 volt, which is great.[6][7][8][9] What that meant was that the regulator doesn't allow the alternator to give too much power to the relay. So the regulator is fine. The reason why the relay fries, according to AI is that the starter engine draws too much electricity and therefore... and the grounding is not very good... and therefore all this electricity has to go through this, and this is not meant to cope with that much electricity. And in short, it means that the grounding in this car is not very good. So I'm going to just replace this right away in case it has already degraded a lot. And I am going to connect a cable directly to the starter engine from the negative on the battery, meaning that it is very well grounded. And this should solve the problem. But before I start filling with this, I'm going to disconnect the battery.[10] And in theory the starter relay is now either not going to degrade like it did before or it's going to degrade much slower. In either case, it's better. I'll keep an extra relay in the car at all times, just in case. But using only AI and with no education in relation to this, I in theory managed to solve the problem. And so can you with a low tech car if you buy one.[11] Let's take it for a spin, shall we?
  1. Spending his children's heritage on destroying Nature
  2. Never mind the fact that producing new cars pollutes MORE.
  3. Intermission.
  4. Until it stops working. And I have to install a new one.
  5. Using a mechanical multimeter.
  6. He looked incredibly thrilled for having to help me.
  7. So the battery is fine.
  8. To see if the regulator works we perform the same test with the engine running.
  9. She ran away when Bjørn pushed the accelerator.
  10. The yellow cable is connected directly to the started engine.
  11. I will let you know later on if this did NOT work.
