When I was in prison, I met some people who had been convicted around a hundred times. And none of them suggested that all these convictions had been unjust and without any, you know, real reason. Nobody argued that they had been victims of persecution or anything. They all admitted that, you know, I've been stealing cars for a very long time, dealing drugs, and the police caught me. And if one of them had claimed that I have been convicted for theft, for drug dealing, for stealing cars, for breaking in, all sorts of stuff, but I'm innocent. I didn't do it, you know, but I'm convicted a hundred times. Nobody would have believed them.[1]
