In theory homesteading makes no sense today, because you can just go buy everything you need in a shop, right? So why should you actually start homesteading now anyway? Let's find out Thulêan Homesteading
(The Survivalist Perspective) The thing is things change even though you can go buy your groceries today and everything else you need the situation might be different tomorrow and as you probably have already noticed. Prices can go up and they can go up so much that you cannot afford to buy everything you need. And therefore you should homestead and be self-sufficient so that you can feed yourself and your own family. Also, some people might think that okay, I will start homesteading when I need to, right now I can just go buy the food I need, so I'll wait. Okay. Maybe this will work for you, but most of the time this will be a little bit problematic because, I can give you an example, here we have had this homestead for about eight years and we have had a lot of trial and error. Because we don't know everything, we have to try things to see if they work. And a lot of things work on paper a lot of things work for people who live a little bit further north or maybe a little bit further south or maybe a little bit lower down or maybe higher up even. Some things work where people have more soil than you might have or more forests nearby and so forth. All these different factors play in here. And If you don't try out the things you want to do, you don't know if they work or not. You have to first try it to see if it works. And this is the important part because if you do this now, when you still can buy your groceries, right? Then it's not such a big deal if you fail. If you fail you can just go buy your groceries anyway. But if you wait until after you cannot go buy groceries anymore or until you cannot afford to buy groceries anymore then it's a big problem if the things you try out fail. Also, even if I show you all the things that work they don't necessarily work for you where you live. So more than actually trying to educate anybody by showing them how we do it I would say that the most important role of the homesteaders on YouTube is to inspire others to do the same and to try out different things to see if they work for them. So, follow Thuleans, go out there. Try out different things that you want to do in this context and see if they work. If they don't work you adjust. You try something new, you correct your mistakes and you improve your methods and that way when you no longer have the opportunity to just go out and buy groceries you have self-sufficiency already. Thanks for watching. #ThulêanLivesMatter
