Many people today reject religion for being religion, no matter what type of religion it is, they reject it. When you reject religion I understand you, but please do not throw the baby out with the bathwater.^[1] The concept of gods or deities in the European religion is not at all similar to that of the Hebrew Abrahamic Middle Eastern religions. The deities in European religion are more like symbols and metaphors and they represent something, a real force in nature. It's a type of symbolism, it's a type of sorcery and it's rooted in real science. It is completely in harmony with what we today know about science. When you look at the deities as they are represented in mythology for example, you have to look at them as if you were driving a car and looking at the road signs.^[2] And likewise in the past the deities represented something.^[3][4][5][6] So the European religion was more than anything a scientific world view.^[7] The deities are all symbols of real powers, of real forces in us and in nature and also they symbolize different processes in us and nature.^{[8][9][10][11]} Note also that the term God simply means good. It is something good in us or in nature.^[12] That's the etymological origin of the term God. Our European religion is nothing like these foreign Hebrew Middle Eastern religions.^[13][14][15]
