Old...
Greetings, fellow travelers. I see some people claim that I look old. I'm gray and worn like some of great age. And yet I'm only 53. So why do they claim that? Let's find out.
Now, the truth is that I probably look older than I am. And the funny thing is that I actually included some rule in this game book called "Accelerated aging". And one of the things that cause accelerated aging in the game, of course, but in reality, too, is captivity. If you spend a week in captivity in this game, you age another week. So for every one week, you age 2 weeks for every one week spent in captivity. And I have spent about 50 years in captivity. So according to these rules, I should be 15 years older than I am in reality, or I should look 15 years older, and in effect, I should be 15 years closer to my ultimate end in this life.
And there's not really a lot I can do about that. That's life, really. If you live under chronic stress, you age. And if you live under moments of stress, it's not that bad. Because It sharpens your senses, it tests you, and you become better.[1]But chronic stress, not the same. It's degenerative. It accelerates aging, for example.
And if you want to avoid accelerated aging yourself, avoid captivity, for a starter. But also avoid intoxication, avoid parasites, avoid injuries, avoid living under constant stress. And of course, nobody lives forever, and we shouldn't aspire to either. Death is okay. Death is a new beginning. So when you die, instead of looking at it as something sad or something negative, see it as a new start.
