Survivalism, is that a type of extremism? Let's find out.

If you stockpile food and gather a lot of stuff, accumulate a lot of things that you need in everyday life, you are a bit strange today. In the eyes of most people. But in reality, it's the other way around. If you don't accumulate a lot of stuff living here in Europe, if you don't stockpile, that's strange.

Because, if you look at it historically, everybody in Europe were survivalists in the past. You only have to go like 40, maybe 50 years back in time, people were survivalists. Or rather, people behaved like modern survivalists. They were stockpiling food, they were preparing for the future, they were planning ahead. And trying to accumulate as much tools and knowledge and "stuff" as they could to prepare for the future. Because life in Europe was hard.

You even had to actually work.
You even had to actually work.

I would argue that it's a lot more extreme to trust so blindly in the system that we have today. It's a completely new system, we know it's not going to work in the long run, we know it's going to fail. And how can you not prepare yourself when you know that? In a crisis situation, your local grocery shop will run out of food and "stuff" in a matter of HOURS. So, the extremist view is held by those who think that this can continue forever. That's extremism. And it's crazy. And it's ignorant. And it's stupid.

So I, when I try to prepare as best as I can for the future, I am the norm, historically. And I am behaving in a rational manner. So, survivalism is not about extremism. Survivalism is about common sense and a sense of history. Or rather, some basic knowledge about history. That apparently most Europeans lack.

The true extremists though, I have to say, are those who think that it's okay to commit cultural and biological suicide. Like we do today. Like our politicians do. And like all these voters apparently think it's just fine. That's extremism. To replace your own people in your own homeland with foreigners. With people who are not even adapted to live here. That's extreme. Thank you for watching.
