Civilization: Whose Achievement is that?
The UAZ is terrible for recording videos. It has no dashboard or anything to put the camera on. So I'm recording in the VAZ instead. And today I'm going to talk about civilization. And I guess you wonder, what am I going to discuss exactly here? Let's find out.
As you know, whenever you talk about civilization online, it turns into a dick measuring contest, where people enter the discussion solely to brag about how their superior people contributed to civilization. And the truth is civilization is not an achievement by one people. It is an achievement that is layered, so to speak. And the first civilization that we know of, or some of the first, we assume, are the ancient Egyptian one and the Sumerian one, and later on, the Mesopotamian one.[1]And if you are Greek and you want to take credit for the creation of civilization, I have bad news for you. Because the Greeks basically just got their civilization from the ancient Egyptians. And to a very large degree, they also got the philosophy from the ancient Egyptians. When we move on to the Romans, they didn't create civilization either. They too got it mainly from the Greeks, and they copied it, and it worked fine for a long time. But they didn't really have a technological acceleration so to speak.[2]It kind of plateaued with them.
And you can claim, of course, that this is because they were useless(?) or something, which is incorrect. It plateaued or stagnated if you like, technologically, because they had slaves. Because if you have slaves, you don't really need mechanization. So the Romans, they had roads, they had infrastructure and everything, but they kind of stopped there.
As you know, when the Middle Ages arrived, we kind of saw a civilization collapse. The Middle Ages. And one of the only things they basically kept was the architecture of the ancient world, because they wanted to build churches. Other than that, everything collapsed.
Some of the things that collapsed because Christianity arrived:
And mind you, this development in the European civilization occurred in the northern and western and Central Europe, like England, Germany, France, and Scandinavia.

However, this does not mean that the northern, western, central Europeans are superior. I'm not claiming that. Because they built their achievements[4]on the achievements of the Romans, who in turn built their achievements on the achievements of the Greeks, who in turn, built their achievements on the achievements of the Egyptians. So, you know, it's layered.
At the same time, when you have these chauvinists arrive and claim that we were barbarians here in the north, you still have to remember that, yes, the Romans had civilization, but these "barbarians" developed mechanization, industrialization, and systematic chemistry, scientific methods all this good stuff, right? Or so some claim. And at least high tech. The high tech that we see today. You know, the thing I'm using at the record, a result of these "barbarians", and their entering into the stage of civilization.
When it comes to civilization, the most advanced civilization is the one we have today. And this is created by the northern, the western, and the Central Europeans. Again: in spite of the set-backs caused by the introduction of Christianity. Whether you like it or not, that's just the facts. The high tech is their achievements.
What do you guys think? Will the western civilization prevail, or will it have to fall before it can revitalize itself? I believe it has to fall, and I believe it's good if it falls. And the next thing will be another layer on top of what we had. Only we have to make sure that we keep only the good parts and get rid of the bad parts.[5]Lock, stock, and barrel. Thanks for watching.

Some of the things that collapsed because Christianity arrived:
- Architecture (other than the one used to build grand churches)
- Education (restricted to religious indoctrination)
- Dance ("too Pagan")
- History (replaced by fabrications and propaganda)
- Law (replaced by "whatever benefits the church")
- Literature (was banned)
- Mathematics ("too Pagan")
- Medicine (illness was seen as "punishment for sin")
- Music & Singing ("too Pagan")
- Natural history (only the Bible mattered)
- Painting and Art (techniques were lost, "too Pagan")
- Philosophy (reduced to scholasticism)
- Public Service (ceased almost completely)
- Sculpture turned into "Entartete Kunst")
- Sport (replaced as entertainment by animal torture)
- Theatre (banned, "too Pagan")
- Public Health (neglected, except in monasteries)
- Infrastructure (roads/ bridges only survived because the Romans built them so well)
And mind you, this development in the European civilization occurred in the northern and western and Central Europe, like England, Germany, France, and Scandinavia.

Not exclusively, of course, but as this image illustrates well, LARGELY.

- Neither of them even remotely "Indo-European" by the way.
- Neither did those that were before them, by the way.
- Probably because the ancient system of slavery was different, by then.
- In spite of the set-backs caused by the introduction of Christianity.
- Kind of, the OPPOSITE of what the Christians did.
