Why did I shut down my Twitter account!?

So why did I shut down my Twitter account? Let's find out. After Elon Musk took over, he introduce the blue check thing. And what this in effect is, is paying for use. Because if you don't have the blue check, your post will get limited visibility. And you have 3 levels of blue check and the more you pay, the more people can see your posts. So it's a pay for views service.

Also, it's a very low effort platform, meaning it's extremely easy to just write something and tweet it. If you're on YouTube, you have to make the video. You have to, I don't know, put it together, maybe change some sounds and so forth. So it requires more from the user, meaning that the quality of the people on YouTube, let's put it that way, is higher.[1]Because here they have to put some effort in and have some ability in order to express themselves. On Twitter, any moron can type something and post it.

Further on, Musk is using this platform to train his AI. Grok. That's how they do it. They take real human interaction and show it to the AI,[2]and then the AI learns from that. So they're training their AI using you people who have Twitter or X.

On a more personal level, I think the format itself on Twitter is terrible. You have to say much with few words, but this leads to misunderstandings. It means the use of very blunt language that is not only misunderstood,[3]but also misinterpreted. So you have to post and then repost to explain what you actually meant and so forth. Unless, of course, you pay for the blue check, and that's that way you can say a lot, but exactly, I don't want to do that.

Also, Musk has outsourced the blue check service to an Israeli company, meaning that you have to give your personal data to an Israeli firm in order to have the blue check.

Also, I think this whole "freedom of speech" thing is a trap. They just want you to express your honest opinions so that they can, you know, when you buy your blue check, register that and put the two things together. They already have your info, bank info and so forth. But they cannot link your expressions online with your bank account and such. But they can when you buy the blue check. So that's the difference here. And it's a major difference. And it's a significant difference. And I don't want to contribute to having people who might want to hear what I have to say end up in that situation where they are registered. I'm probably registered already, all in all these different sites. But that's irrelevant. This is not about me. I just don't want you to end up in that situation.

Also, I think that when guys like me speak up, it's not going to convince anybody. Those who agree with me, they already agree with me. And those who don't agree with me, they live like this, right?[4]They're not gonna buy it anyway. They just gonna close their eyes, you know? And the best way for us to wake up people is to just let the people we want them to become aware of behave like they always do. And when they do, finally they are waking up. They will always, every single time, people wake up in the end and realize what the problem is, regardless of people like you and me who might speak up and warn them about it. These warnings, they fall on deaf ears.[5]Nobody's listening. But when they see themselves, how these guys behave, that's what's waking them up.

Anyhow, I shut my Twitter account down, and I'm glad I did. I'm not going to contribute to any of that anymore, I have to say, because I was there. And I encourage you to do the same. Get rid of that toxic website and spend your time on more useful things.

And, yeah, of course, also, I think Elon Musk is a total fraud and completely dishonest. Everything he say is just a lie.
  1. Twitter is filled to the brim with garbage.
  2. Yeah, and that AI is not going to be for our benefit, in the future.
  3. Everything you say will be taken out of context and be used against you in the
most dishonest way you can imagine.
  4. They have been trained hard, since kindergarten, not to listen to "guys like me".
  5. And they have zero gratitude for our warnings even after they have understood
    we were right.
