Salute! As you know, the Christians they go on pilgrimages and we, because of that, associate that with Christianity. But are we right to do so? Let's find out.
As with pretty much everything in Christianity, pilgrimage is not a Christian thing. It's something they have from paganism. And what the pagans did was to visit locations that they believed to have been to in previous lives. And therefore they revisited them and they did so to remember in previous lives, to get rid of the amnesia caused by death. So they would visit old sites, they would visit old burial mounds and sites that the pagans defined as sacred, because they wanted to remember.
And if you go to any of these sites today here in France for example, you will always find some crucifix placed nearby. I mean near dolmens, near cairns and cromlechs and so forth. And just beautiful sites as well. And you could always argue that maybe the pagans placed crosses there so that they could tell the Christians that "no, no, no, we're not visiting the pagan sites, we're just, you know, going to the cross". Either that or the Christians put crosses there, because they wanted to claim these sites for themselves, because the Europeans kept frequenting these sites, they kept visiting them on pilgrimages. And we don't really know, maybe both are true, we don't know, but the point is that the Europeans kept visiting these places, because of course they were still pagans, even in Christian times.
Why do you want to remember?
To put it in rather geepish terms here: If you can get a lot of "experience points" by remembering your experiences from previous lives, you can gain level a lot faster in this life, and gain new abilities - that you would not have been able to gain from the experience points gained in only one life.
And I often get questions in relation to how am I supposed to get to know something about my own culture, my own tradition and so forth. Are there any books about Iberian paganism, about Gallic paganism, about Illyrian paganism? I get a lot of these questions. And I think the best thing you can do, if you are Iberian or Illyrian or whatever, is to visit the sacred sites of your ancestors.
When you visit these old sacred sites that your forebears used to frequent, that you used to frequent in previous lives, you will remember, you will get rid of the amnesia caused by death. And you don't really need to read a lot about Iberian paganism or whatever, you really mainly just have to remember and to awaken these memories. And you can best do that by visiting these sites.
And of course the older the site, the older the memories you will awaken. And when you do so, you will remember and you will intuitively understand our paganism. You don't need to read books, you need to get rid of your amnesia, because it's in your blood. These were your forebears.
