Exactly why is belief in reincarnation so important? Let's find out.
If you believe in some sort of heavenly paradise in the afterlife, then you automatically become more willing to just let everything fall apart here on earth. However, if you believe that when you die, you go to the grave/Valhalla and then you return from the grave to life here on earth, then you will automatically worry more about the condition of the earth you live on and that you will live on in the future as well. You will be less willing to destroy the foundations on which man stands. We obviously live on a planet ruled by people who care no whit about the fate of future generations. Or about life on this planet. Any form of life. Those who rule care only about profit. The massive destruction they cause is called "progress".
So no matter how you see it, the belief in reincarnation is very important for humanity. Only this belief system will ensure that we who are alive will do our best to ensure that life will be good and possible not least, for the future generations as well. Because if we believe in reincarnation, then we will believe that future generations are made up of us, those who live today and those who are dead. And without this belief system, if you believe in some sort of fictional heavenly paradise, you will be willing to destroy this planet. You don't care because what's important is your heavenly paradise and it's not affected whatsoever by life on earth. What if those who believe in 'Armageddon' are willing to bring about an 'Armageddon' here on Earth, just to make people think they are right?
The reason why paganism is so important is that it focuses on life on earth. When you live, you live on earth. When you die, you have the opportunity to become reborn on earth. There is no heavenly paradise or anything of that sort. As explained in sorcery and religion in ancient Scandinavia, all the divine homes described in mythology are just names of the different months of an ancient calendar. Valhalla is just a description of the grave. The deities themselves are ideals and role models - and something more if you will. Life on this planet is perfect. I mean, life is what you make of it. We are all responsible for our own success, happiness and survival.
