The sun sets behind me, and what a good picture it is for our civilization, because this is the fall of civilization, the decline of the West, but that's not what I'm going to talk about. I want to talk about life, because I have been very lucky in life, I have always been very privileged, and whenever bad things have happened to me, they have always turned out to be good in the end.
And I'm going to talk about one of the best memories of my life, and paradoxically it's from school, I never liked school, but one of my best memories is from school. This is just one of many, but I'm going to give you this one as an example. When I was in junior high school, 9th grade, or in Norwegian 8th grade, we had music as a subject, and at the time I was listening to Iron Maiden, I had lost interest in school completely,[1]so I was sort of like an outsider, not a metalhead, but an outsider, I was more interested in roleplaying games than Iron Maiden really. So I placed myself at the back in the classroom, I was not interested in anything in school, and I did the same in music class. And our music teacher used to just play classical music for us, and then he stopped the record, vinyl at that time, and then he asked one of the students if he or she could tell what that was, and nobody ever could of course, because they were youth, they didn't listen to that kind of music. And then he played another record. And I think at some point I made a noise or disturbed the music or did something, and he wanted to punish me, so he stopped the music and said "okay", pointed at me, "you tell what this is, what did we just listen to?" And I told him, we listened to Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, and everybody started laughing because they thought I was just kidding. And when they stopped laughing, he said, well that's correct.[2]And everybody were so amazed, and they did not understand what just happened, and I felt pretty good about myself. The punishment' ("the bad") ended up as a compliment to me, and probably because of this incident, I got very good grades in Music ("the good/lucky end").
You know, such small things, such details in life matter. These are the things that make life good, that make life enjoyable.
"...and what about the freakin' fall of civilization you mentioned at the beginning!?"
We could sing a few songs as our ship sinks, and be happy anyhow. The fall of the west is nothing but a rebirth of something better.

- My grades were still pretty good though.
- I grew up listening to Tchaikovsky.
